Since the closure of several Fred Meyer stores in October, including the one in Redmond, there has been a significant increase in the prices of non-discounted items at QFC. This increase is particularly noticeable in the bakery section. For instance, a single serving dessert that cost $3.29 last month now costs $3.99, marking a 20% increase. Most bakery items have seen a price hike of 10-20% since the start of October. The price of a full circle cheesecake, which was $12.99 in August, has now risen to $15.99, a 24% increase. Other examples include garlic bread, which used to cost between $2.49-$2.99 in the summer, now priced at $3.99.
