SEATTLE — Around half of the more than 500,000 Washington households that rely on SNAP benefits have received assistance for November, according to the Washington State Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS).
Still, thousands more are going without the monthly aid, and it’s unclear when that might end.
The Trump administration and the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) are now demanding that states that issued full benefits ‘undo’ distributions, or they could potentially face future cuts.
