SEATTLE — Law enforcement officials in western Washington say a months-long narcotics investigation has disrupted a regional drug pipeline they allege was supplied by a cartel source in Mexico, resulting in the seizure of more than $1 million in methamphetamine, fentanyl and other narcotics.
At least four people have been arrested, including two men charged in Snohomish County Superior Court who investigators describe as mid-level distributors operating out of a pair of suburban apartment complexes.
The investigation — dubbed “Operation Eastbound and Down” by the King County Sheriff’s Office — began earlier this year as detectives tracked what they considered an unusual pattern of short, late-night stops, brief vehicle meetings, and frequent travel between Lynnwood, Kirkland and several other cities across two counties…
