Seattle Braces for a Week of Rain with Snow Possible, NWS Forecasts Show

Seattle residents can expect to quickly pull out their umbrellas this week as the National Weather Service predicts several spells of rain and potential chances for rain and snow in the upcoming days. According to the detailed forecast, there’s a 20 percent chance of rain overnight, with mostly cloudy skies, and a low around 44 degrees. By Thursday, the chance of rain dwindles to 10 percent before 7 a.m., moving towards a sunnier afternoon with a high near 53 degrees.

However, by Thursday night, the likelihood of rain picks up again with a 20 percent chance after 3 a.m., and temperatures are expected to dip to a low of around 42 degrees. As Seattle moves into the weekend, Friday foreshadows a 30 percent chance of rain, mainly after 10 a.m., with a partly sunny climate and highs approximately reaching 52 degrees. “Rain likely, mainly after 10pm,” with a 60 percent chance, the NWS cautions for Friday night.

What’s more, the weekend won’t provide much of a respite from the damp conditions.
