Tacoma Police say man turned himself in for shooting of 14-year-old, now booked for murder

The Tacoma Police Department says that an adult male turned himself in, claiming to be involved in the shooting of a 14-year-old boy in the head on Friday afternoon, which left the teen in critical condition.

A spokesperson for the department told KOMO News the man had turned himself in at their headquarters on Friday night, and was initially booked for First Degree Assault, but after the teenager died from his injuries later Friday night, they upgraded their booking to First Degree Murder.

Jail records show there was a 42-year-old man was booked into the Pierce County Jail within the last 24 hours, for both First Degree Assault, with a $500,000 cash or bail bond, and First Degree Murder…
