KING COUNTY, WA – A 44-year-old woman died and one person was injured Friday afternoon when a tree fell onto a vehicle on State Route 203, northeast of Seattle, according to the Washington State Patrol.
The incident occurred around 1:03 p.m. on Saturday. Police say, a tan 2014 Subaru Forester driven by 49-year-old man, was traveling southbound when a tree fell and struck the car, causing it to break apart on impact. the driver was injured and transported to Harborview Medical Center. The passenger, a 44-year-old woman from Duvall, was pronounced dead at the scene.
A northbound vehicle, a 2025 blue Chevrolet Silverado driven by 57-year-old man, struck debris from the fallen tree and came to rest blocking the northbound lane. Three passengers in the second vehicle, including two juveniles, were not injured…
