Driver who allegedly stabbed man in the neck while stopped in Seattle traffic charged

SEATTLE — A 44-year-old who allegedly stabbed a man in the neck with a boxcutter while stopped near Seventh Avenue and Madison Street in Seattle was charged with first-degree assault on Monday.

Prosecutors asked the court to set bail for Vesper Keenstar Mikan at $500,000. They will be arraigned Dec. 11.

According to a statement of probable cause, on Dec. 3, the victim was attempting to merge into the Mikan’s lane when Mikan sped up to prevent him from doing so, almost hitting his vehicle. When traffic stopped, Mikan allegedly walked to the driver’s side of the victim’s vehicle and kicked his door and hit the side mirror…
