Seattle Man Allegedly Assaulted Bus Driver Who Refused Him Entry Over Past ‘Disturbances’

A Seattle man is facing charges for allegedly assaulting a bus driver who refused him entry after recognizing him for prior “disturbances” on buses, police said.

The Seattle Police Department said officers responded to reports of a transit driver being assaulted near 3rd Avenue and Stewart Street at around 10:50 p.m. Monday. They arrived to find the 64-year-old bus driver “shaking, with facial injuries.”

According to police, the suspect tried to board the bus, but the driver activated a barrier that blocks the passenger seating area and refused him entry. The driver allegedly recognized the 25-year-old man “for causing disturbances on other buses previously,” police said…
