ISSAQUAH and HOME, Wash. — Two overnight crashes left a trail of destruction and tragedy. One incident resulted in a death in Issaquah, while the other caused a significant power outage on the Peninsula.
In Issaquah, a deadly crash occurred along Southeast Newport Way, not far from the Cougar Mountain Zoo. According to Eastside Fire and Rescue, a driver collided with construction roadblocks, leading to the death of one person. Authorities are currently investigating the circumstances leading up to the crash.
