Four Bremerton residents, including children ages 5 and 8, were injured in a car crash in Gorst on Christmas Eve just before 8 p.m. that completely destroyed a coffee stand just across from the Peninsula Subaru dealership.
The 47-year-old man driving a Volvo experienced a medical emergency as the SUV was westbound on Highway 16 just before where it meets Highway 3, according to the Washington State Patrol. The Volvo drove to the left, crossing the eastbound lanes of traffic, and struck the Sadie Mae’s Coffee stand.
A photo from WSP, as well as others shared by the business, shows that Sadie Mae’s Coffee, located in the parking lot of Future Homes of Bremerton, was flattened by the collision. The Volvo stopped after running through the stand. No one was inside the coffee stand at the time…
