Set for January 14, from 6:00 to 7:30 pm, the gathering aims to foster a transparent dialogue between law enforcement and community members about the safety concerns and crime prevention efforts in their neighborhoods. The event will take place at the Rainier Beach Community Center, located at 8825 S. Rainier Ave, according to the Seattle Police Department.
According to a social media post from the SPD, South Precinct Captain Heidi Tuttle emphasized the event’s purpose, saying, “We are going to talk with people about what we are doing to combat crime in their neighborhood and the concerns they have.” The SPD’s post reveals plans to discuss current safety measures and invites citizens to share their perspectives and contribute to the development of improved strategies for keeping their communities safe.
