Woman killed in Kent collision was pregnant, records show

KENT, Wash. — A woman who was hit by an SUV in Kent on Dec. 26, and later died from her injuries, was pregnant, King County Medical Examiner Office records show.

On Friday night, 37-year-old Jessica Vasquez was crossing 108th Avenue Southeast and Southeast 224th Street just before 5 p.m. when she was hit by a driver in an SUV, according to the Kent Police Department.

When officers arrived, they found Vasquez unconscious and not breathing. She was taken to the hospital, where she died from her injuries. Police determined Vasquez was not in a crosswalk at the time of the crash…
