SPD: Man arrested after shooting woman following dispute over shower length

The Seattle Police Department (SPD) arrested a man after a woman was shot early Sunday morning in an apartment near the Chinatown-International District.

Officers responded to a shooting call at approximately 6 a.m. near Rainier Avenue and S. King Street. When they arrived, they found a 26-year-old woman with a gunshot wound to her thigh. She was taken to Harborview Medical Center, and is currently in serious, but stable condition.

“During the investigation, the victim told officers she went to the suspect’s apartment to take a shower,” the SPD stated in its crime blotter. “She said the suspect shot her after she took longer than expected. The victim was unsure whether the suspect used a pellet gun or a firearm.”…
