A tragic incident in Kent has left a community mourning the loss of Jessica Vasquez, a 37-year-old pregnant woman who was fatally struck by an SUV while crossing 108th Avenue Southeast. King County Medical Examiner Office records confirm that Vasquez, who was expecting a boy named Angel Vasquez, suffered multiple blunt force injuries leading to her death and that of her unborn child, as reported by KING 5 News.
According to the Kent Police Department, the accident occurred last Friday near the intersection of 108th Avenue SE and SE 224th Street. Police reports indicate that Vasquez was not in a crosswalk at the time of the collision. A 55-year-old woman driving the SUV stayed at the scene to cooperate with the authorities.
