Officers with the Tukwila Police Department reported a series of arrests, impaired driving investigations and a successful animal rescue during recent patrol activity across the city.
Police said Officer Mosley stopped a vehicle in the 6200 block of Southcenter Parkway after noticing it did not have license plates. During the stop, officers recognized the female driver as someone with a history of law enforcement contacts and suspected she was harboring a fugitive registered sex offender with a Department of Corrections escape warrant. The woman was arrested for driving while license suspended in the third degree. Officers later went to her residence, where the male with the DOC warrant exited the home and was taken into custody and booked into jail.
In a separate incident, Officer Enebrad stopped a vehicle after observing it driving without headlights. Police said the driver showed signs of impairment and declined to participate in field sobriety tests. The driver also refused to identify himself.
