One of my favorite things about Seattle is the incredible restaurants that dot the city. Here, you’ll find a foodie’s paradise with all types of eateries from fine dining restaurants to casual establishments. Located right in the heart of downtown Seattle is one restaurant that deserves a spot on every foodie’s bucket list—Alder & Ash. This bar and grill not only features New American cuisine and incredible cocktails but also one of the best breakfast buffets in Washington State.
Alder & Ash is a gorgeous restaurant located on Seattle’s Pike Street. As you step inside, you’ll be met with a classy, elegant dining room where every detail appears to be carefully considered. There are plush booths and tables, beautiful art on the walls, and a soft color palette that makes you feel right at home.
And it isn’t just the atmosphere of Alder & Ash that makes an impression, but so does the food. Open daily from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m., this restaurant is where you can enjoy a delicious meal no matter the time of the day. Start your morning off right with breakfast dishes like a smoked salmon omelette, a breakfast sandwich, or PNW pancakes complete with a house-made huckleberry maple syrup.
For lunch, you can choose from items like Ahi Tuna Poke, fish and chips, a smash burger, or even steak frites. At dinner, share a smoked salmon dip or green garbanzo hummus, then choose a delicious entree like the filet mignon, miso-glazed black cod, or a half-roasted Mary’s chicken. Stop by for happy hour to enjoy some yummy bites and a delicious cocktail, and always save room for dessert. With items like a cheesecake, chocolate ganache tart, and the Alder & Ash sundae, you can’t go wrong no matter what you choose.
And while there certainly isn’t a bad time to visit Alder & Ash, the breakfast buffet is one of our favorites. This buffet is filled with breakfast classics like scrambled eggs, French toast, sausage, and bacon, as well as seasonal fruit, yogurt, cereal, and more. If you are like me, you’ll want to fill your plate high with all of the assorted pastries and breads served at this buffet as well.
