SEATTLE — A 30-year-old Seattle man pleaded not guilty Tuesday to a hate crime charge after prosecutors say he left violent, anti-Jewish voicemails threatening a Seattle synagogue.
Seattle police say Joshua Scott left two profane and disturbing messages for the Temple De Hirsch Sinai Synagogue on the night of Dec. 12, threatening to murder members of the congregation.
According to police, the calls were automatically routed to the phone of a synagogue employee who works in security. Police say Scott made “various anti-Jewish statements” and told the victim, “When I find you I’m going to murder all of you.”…
