Kent PD says Flock camera helped catch suspect on the run for 2 years

A man who allegedly pointed a loaded gun at employees of a Subway restaurant in Kent more than two years ago is in custody after a ‘Flock camera’ helped police track him down, authorities said.

In November 2023, officers responded to reports of gunshots in the parking lot of a Subway restaurant in the 25600 block of 104th Ave S.E. Police said the man pointed a loaded gun at employees during the incident.

“After a 5-hour standoff that involved numerous Kent Officers, K9, Valley SWAT, and Negotiators, he was arrested without further incident,” according to a post on Facebook. “During the standoff, the Subway employees were evacuated from the restaurant. A loaded weapon was recovered. Thankfully, no one was injured.”
