Councilmember Edgar Chung was appointed by a unanimous Council vote. He fills the vacancy at Council Seat 5 that was created in December when the Council appointed Dean Hachamovitch, the previous seat holder, to be Mayor. Chung recently retired from his 20+ year career as an executive in high-tech to shift his focus towards social impact. He and his family recently moved to Clyde Hill from California.

The resident-led Financial Sustainability Task Force (FSTF) will make their final recommendations to the City Council on January 20, starting at 6pm at City Hall. Residents are encouraged to attend.
