KIRKLAND, Wash. — David Oakenfold thought he would spend just a year in the United States. Nearly three decades later, the Kirkland resident has built a life in Washington. Oakenfold recently made a decision he calls “life changing” by walking away from a corporate career to focus on family and community.
“I grew up in a small town in northern England. It’s like 18 miles west of the city of Newcastle,” Oakenfold said.
