Seattle man sentenced after largest Glock switch seizure in western Washington

SEATTLE — A Seattle man will spend more than two years in federal prison after authorities uncovered an extensive cache of illegal firearms at his apartment.

Andre Justice Atwater, 26, received a 27-month sentence in U.S. District Court in Seattle for possessing a machine gun, according to U.S. Attorney Charles Neil Floyd. The sentencing took place Tuesday.

Atwater was arrested in June 2024 after investigators connected him to a BB-gun shooting that injured two men in the parking area of his International District apartment complex. Police identified Atwater as the person responsible and later searched his residence…
