KENT, Wash. — The trial has started for a man charged with the murders of a man and a woman whose bodies were discovered in a bush in Maple Valley in 2023.
During opening statements Wednesday morning in King County Superior Court in Kent, prosecutors said Brandon Gerner, 42, conspired with his best friend, Kody Olsen, to kill Robert Riley and Ashley Williams after a dispute at a commercial property on 238th Ave SE.
