Seattle officer injured arresting ‘high risk’ violent felon on federal probation

SEATTLE — A Seattle officer was injured during the arrest of a violent felon on federal probation, the police department reported.

The incident occurred on Jan. 28, just before 9 p.m., when officers patrolling the 3600 block of 33rd Avenue South noticed a car without license plates illegally parked between two handicapped spaces.

Before getting out of the car, police said the driver appeared to remove a gun from his waistband and hide it on the floorboard…
