At some point in Washington, I realized lunch didn’t need saving. It already had heroes. They didn’t wear capes or have origin movies, but they did roll in on four wheels and show up exactly when hunger hit hardest. I watched office workers, students, and very serious adults light up like extras in a Marvel cameo the second a food truck pulled over.
These trucks fixed things. Bad moods.
Boring breaks. Sad desk lunches…
