Students at Washington Middle School were surprised with a pep rally by the Seahawks, that included Blue Thunder, Seahawks Dancers and Seahawks Legend Lofa Tatupu. There was also a special appearance by Seattle music legend and lead guitarist for Pearl Jam, Mike McCready.
This event marked another community impacted for the Seahawks community’s Impacting 50 Communities initiative for the 50th season.
At Washington Middle School, the music programs were at risk of losing funding and being downsized. Over 50 percent of the students at the middle school take music classes. The school didn’t have funding for a band director position next year…
