Former Bothell council member sentenced to 10 years in killing of 20-year-old woman

SEATTLE — A former Bothell City Council member was sentenced to 10 years in prison Friday after previously pleading guilty to first-degree manslaughter and second-degree assault in the death of 20-year-old Liliya Guyvoronsky.

James Gregory McNeal, 60, was sentenced to 125 months in prison, the maximum allowed under Washington state law for this case. He pleaded guilty in January, avoiding a trial.
