Light Rail Connects Bellevue to Seattle Across Lake Washington

The world’s first light rail on a floating bridge will soon open in the Pacific Northwest, connecting Bellevue to Seattle with stunning Lake Washington views. On March 28, Sound Transit opens the Crosslake Connection, completing the full 2 Line light rail service between Bellevue, Seattle, and Redmond.

Sound Transit’s light rail system is also the first major light rail system in the United States to operate entirely on carbon-free electricity, making this historic connection as forward-thinking as it is scenic.
