2 Pierce County drivers injured in Saturday night wreck near Puyallup, WSP says

A 57-year-old Puyallup man, suspected of driving under the influence, triggered a two-car wreck on state Route 167 Saturday night, according to the Washington State Patrol.

About 11:10 p.m., the Puyallup man was headed north on SR 167 at 76th Avenue East when troopers say he crossed into the southbound lanes and crashed into a 21-year-old Puyallup woman.

Both vehicles came to a stop in the southbound lanes, according to the State Patrol. The two drivers also were hurt and taken to Tacoma General Hospital…
