Seattle police ramp up patrols ahead of Seahawks’ Super Bowl Sunday

SEATTLE — With excitement building across Seattle ahead of the Seahawks’ first Super Bowl appearance in more than a decade, police are stepping up patrols to keep celebrations safe.

“We’re all feeling the anticipation today,” said Seattle resident Sydney Henderson. “I’m just really excited to see what goes down tomorrow.”

The Seahawks are set to play in their biggest game since their back-to-back Super Bowl runs in 2013 and 2014. While fans are hoping for another Lombardi Trophy, Seattle police say they’re focused on making sure Sunday’s festivities don’t get out of hand…
