Red Light Vintage to stay open following outpouring of community support

Original owner of Red Light Vintage, Tacee Webb, signed the store’s lease Feb 2., taking over ownership and preserving the iconic U-District establishment. The transfer is a welcome relief for fans of the shop, following months of community concern over the shop’s potentially imminent closure.

Webb said Red Light, located on University Way Northeast and Northeast 47th Street, was saved by the community, and she’s determined to return the favor. Since Webb opened Red Light Vintage in 1996, the store has served as a beloved community staple, particularly popular among UW students on the hunt for the perfect vintage pieces.
