A late-night argument inside a downtown Burien business ended with a man in the hospital and deputies searching for a stabbing suspect, and investigators say they are counting on the public to help close the case.
Police release video seeking suspect
Detectives have released footage from the scene and are asking anyone who recognizes the person in the video to step forward. As reported by KIRO 7 News Seattle, the station aired a short clip showing deputies and investigators canvassing the area and highlighted the department’s appeal for tips from viewers.
What happened
According to investigators, deputies were dispatched at 11:37 p.m. on Jan. 24 to Video Cuautla, a grocery and video store on SW 152nd Street in downtown Burien, after a 911 caller reported a stabbing. When deputies arrived, they found a man with stab wounds who was taken to Harborview Medical Center, where his injuries were described as not life-threatening.
Detectives say the incident began as a verbal argument that escalated into a physical confrontation. Witnesses told investigators that the group involved had left the scene before deputies arrived. The King County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Unit is handling the case, according to The B-Town Blog, which updated its coverage with information from the sheriff’s office.

The Burien Police Department lists that number on its official website for reporting non-emergency crimes and local incidents.
