An award-winning bakery based in Seattle is adding a new location in Ferndale that will open later this month.
Piroshky Piroshky, a popular Eastern European-inspired bakery, has been operating out of Pike Place Market for more than three decades since being started by Olga Sagan, the company’s sole owner.
“Founded in 1992 and proudly woman and immigrant-owned, Piroshky Piroshky has become a Pike Place Market staple, serving millions of visitors from around the world each year,” a news release from the company states. “We were featured on ‘No Reservations with Anthony Bourdain’ on The Travel Channel, as well as on The Zimmern List, introducing our handcrafted savory and sweet Piroshky to a national audience.”
The bakery is known for its authentic piroshky hand-pie pastries in a variety of flavors, including smoked salmon, orange cream, chicken pot pie, and beef and cheese, as well as cinnamon cardamom braids and chocolate cream hazelnut rolls.
