OLYMPIA, Wash. — A Kent mother who lost her 12-year-old son to a drunk driver took her heartbreak to the Washington state House of Representatives, hoping her testimony will push legislators to lower the state’s blood alcohol content threshold.
It’s the fourth consecutive year legislation has proposed lowering the blood alcohol content level to determine if a driver is drunk from .08% to .05%.
