Washington Weather Alert: 50 MPH Coastal Wind Gusts and 45 MPH Inland Gusts Until 10 AM Sunday

Seattle, Washington – Wind gusts up to 50 mph are slamming the Washington coast and pushing into the foothills east of Seattle overnight, creating hazardous travel and a growing risk of power outages through Sunday morning.

According to the National Weather Service in Seattle, a Wind Advisory remains in effect until 10 a.m. PST Sunday for the foothills and valleys of King, Pierce and Snohomish counties, as well as the Northern Washington Coast and Grays Harbor County Coast. Coastal communities including Ocean Shores, Westport, La Push and Neah Bay could see southeast winds of 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 50 mph.
