WASHINGTON STATE — Several flights to and from Puerto Vallarta remained canceled Monday as the region continued to grapple with civil unrest linked to cartel retaliation following the reported death of its leader, known as “El Mencho.”
More than 70 people have reportedly died in the violence. So far, no tourists have been reported among the dead. Flights between Seattle-Tacoma International Airport and Puerto Vallarta were still canceled Monday, with most inbound flights from Puerto Vallarta also listed as canceled.
