Renton’s Got a New Island Food Spot

Everett’s Enseamada has officially opened a sister business, Makai Island Co., in Renton.

The popular Filipino bakery and eatery is named after the traditional Filipino treat Ensaymada, a sweet brioche bread topped with icing or powdered sugar. The café also serves other treats like ube-frosted waffles and halo-halo, as well as popular island comfort-food offerings, including Hawaiian fried rice, loco moco, and garlic shrimp.
