Seattle street takeover turns violent as 52-year-old man is assaulted in Belltown

A 52-year-old man was allegedly assaulted during a street takeover in Seattle’s Belltown neighborhood over the weekend.

Street racers took over the intersection at Denny Way and Broad Street just after 12 a.m. Sunday. According to the Seattle Police Department (SPD), multiple cars were doing donuts and blocking traffic. A large crowd gathered to watch the sideshow, with some onlookers and attendees using Lime bikes and scooters to block cars from continuing through the intersection.
