More than 35,000 without power in western WA as snow hampers restoration efforts

Friday’s snowstorm has slowed down efforts to restore power lost in this week’s windstorms. It has also forced local ski resorts to cancel operations.

There are roughly 38,000 customers without power, mostly on the east side and near Snoqualmie Pass, according to Puget Sound Energy (PSE).

As of 6 a.m. Friday, PSE had restored power to more than 95% of customers, but PSE spokesperson Andrew Padula said Friday morning snowfall had caused outage numbers to rise again…
