On March 23, 2026, Governor Bob Ferguson signed Senate Bill 6162, which expands and streamlines property tax relief for retired and other qualifying individuals. Edmonds City Councilmembers Susan Paine and Chris Eck met with County Assessor Linda Hjelle and learned about SB 6162 and the history of Washington State property tax changes.
