BREMERTON — A year ago there was a vibrant pink storefront where Callow Avenue meets Burwell Street. Through the stenciled glass window, rows of cupcakes and other desserts almost too pretty to eat were on display. Bright lights, colorful decorations and faux glitter lollipops larger than a person’s face created a real-life version of Candy Land.
Today the pink walls and furniture remain, but the business is dark and vacant. Just months after the store illuminated that corner, it was just as quick to go dark.
It was Katie Korsmo who suddenly closed the bakery, Korsmo Celebrations. But not for business reasons. Korsmo had to shutter the storefront after she was stalked there by a stranger last August…
