Buckley’s bar owner chases would-be burglar at gunpoint, airs frustrations over crime

SEATTLE — The owner of Buckley’s sports bars said he’s had enough of crime targeting his businesses after confronting a burglar at gunpoint last month and responding to a dangerous dumpster fire this past weekend.

Tim Buckley, who owns locations in Queen Anne and Belltown, shared exclusive surveillance footage with KING 5 showing the moment he held a gun on a man who had broken into his Queen Anne bar. Buckley said he first noticed a suspicious car outside his business from home.

“I checked the cameras, and sure enough, there’s a car parked out front, and the guy, one of the guys, got out, and he checked all the doors,” Buckley said. “I go, ‘Yeah, they’re trying to break in.'”…
