‘It’s expensive as heck here’: Gee blames cost of living for 35K people leaving WA yearly

The number of residents leaving Washington since the pandemic has dramatically increased, with roughly 35,000 people leaving the state per year.

Gee Scott, co-host of “The Gee and Ursula Show” on KIRO Newsradio, firmly believed the No. 1 reason people move out of Washington is the high cost of living, whether it’s taxes, street parking, or affording a home.

“I believe it. I totally believe that people are deciding to move from Washington, it’s expensive as heck here,” Gee said. “What I have been saying for the last two to three years. Specifically.
