A Bellevue massage therapist is facing a serious criminal case after what was supposed to be a routine appointment turned into an alleged assault inside a treatment room.
Jason Senat, who practiced massage in Bellevue, was charged this week with attempted second-degree rape after a client reported sexual misconduct during a Sept. 30, 2025 session. Prosecutors are asking a judge to set bail and to bar him from offering massage services while the case moves through court. Earlier this year, the Washington State Department of Health suspended his massage credential. The woman who reported the assault was first evaluated at Swedish Medical Center in Redmond, then transferred to Harborview Medical Center for a forensic sexual-assault exam.
Charges and court requests
King County prosecutors have filed one count of attempted second-degree rape tied to the Sept. 30 session. In charging documents, they ask the court to set bail at $150,000 and to prohibit Senat from providing massage services, whether licensed or unlicensed, while the case is pending. Prosecutors are also seeking an order that would bar him from contacting witnesses and would put a formal protection order in place, as part of their pretrial requests, according to KING 5.
State suspends his license
The Washington State Department of Health issued an administrative suspension in February that blocks Senat from practicing massage anywhere in Washington while the criminal case is pending. The department said the emergency action was needed to protect patient safety and noted that Senat has 20 days to request a hearing if he wants to contest the suspension, according to the Washington State Department of Health.
Clinic background
Senat co-founded Pacific Northwest Massage and Body Restoration, a Bellevue wellness clinic that promotes itself as insurance-friendly and specializing in therapeutic and sports massage, according to a 2025 press release from BusinessWire. The clinic’s website lists an office on NE Bel-Red Road and offers online contact and booking options, as shown on the Pacific Northwest Massage and Body Restoration site.
Victim account, evidence and prior complaints
Court records and investigator summaries say the client who reported the assault was Senat’s final appointment of the day. During the session, an eye covering was placed over her eyes for part of the treatment, and investigators say Senat then tried to force sexual contact. Hospital staff collected the woman’s clothing and other items during the sexual-assault exam, and testing at the Washington State Patrol crime lab later detected human saliva on one of the swabs. Prosecutors also say at least two other former clients have come forward with reports about Senat to investigators, according to KING 5.
