The butcher paper was taken down from the windows on a bright and sunny Wednesday, and a neighborhood eager to see what would fill the storefront vacated by a beloved restaurant noticed.
Armathia Bolles opened the door as a woman was walking past, who stopped and asked what Bolles and her colleagues would be opening at 2204 E. 11th Street in Bremerton’s Manette neighborhood, home to La Fermata restaurant until it closed in May 2024.
“And this lady just started dancing,” Bolles said during an interview a day before Eleven Winery’s new tasting room opened. “And that kind of sums up the whole neighborhood for me.”…
