A serious crash between a car and a motorcycle has shut down a key stretch of NE Sunset Boulevard in Renton, choking traffic through the Highlands at a particularly bad time for anyone just trying to get across town.
Both eastbound lanes and one westbound lane are closed in the 3200 block near 12th Ave NE after the collision, according to the Renton Police Department, WA. The motorcyclist was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries, and officers are keeping the area blocked while crash investigators work the scene. Drivers are being told to expect major delays in the Renton Highlands and to find another way around if they can.
