SEATTLE — Four aviation organizations connected to underground fuel storage tanks at King County International Airport — Boeing Field have been penalized nearly $20,000 after failing to pay required fees for a decade, according to the Washington Department of Ecology.
Ecology announced penalties Wednesday totaling $19,681 against Signature Aviation, Shultz, Inc., Sky Services, and King County over unpaid fees tied to 11 underground storage tanks located in the 1400 block of South Hardy Street in Seattle, adjacent to the airport.
Signature Aviation boasts that it is “the world’s largest network of private aviation terminals.” In the past year, the Department of Justice has used the company to help ICE carry out immigration enforcement flights from the King County International Airport- Boeing Field.
