Seattle Children’s Hospital hosted an enchanting evening for its teen patients.

On Saturday, May 16, Seattle Children’s was transformed into an Enchanted Forest when the hospital hosted its first annual prom night for its patients. Dozens of kids, mostly between ages 15–19, attended a prom which they called a night they’ll never forget.

Invitations were delivered by the hospital’s facility dogs Scarlett and Nash, who posed in a video shared to the hospital’s Instagram. “Woof you go to prom with me?” read a sign one pup held in its mouth.

“One of the biggest stressors for teen patients is the isolation they experience while in the hospital, especially around missed significant milestone events like prom,” said the Seattle Children’s Child Life team. “Some of our kids have been here for years and we wanted them to have this opportunity.”…
