A man with active warrants in three counties was arrested after allegedly stealing multiple packages of steaks from Walmart and other items from a nearby store, according to the Calera Police Department.
Police said dispatch received a call from Walmart reporting a shoplifting suspect. An officer quickly responded and spotted the man, who ran from the officer, leaving his shoes behind during the chase.
As the suspect fled, officers said two packages of steaks fell out of his pants. When an officer prepared to deploy a Taser, a Shelby County deputy arrived, cut off the suspect’s escape route, and the man surrendered without further incident…
