ALABASTER, Ala. (WBMA) — The lobby of Shelby Baptist Medical Center in Alabaster was placed under lockdown Tuesday afternoon as a precaution after a man seeking medical assistance made a statement concerning enough to prompt a law enforcement response, according to Alabaster Police.
Detective Andrew Rowan said the lockdown was initiated around 5:00 p.m. as a safety precaution.
