Lanes on I-65 in Shelby County to close for asphalt patching

SHELBY COUNTY, Ala. (TRIBUNE) — Asphalt patching repairs will close the lanes of I-65 in Shelby County at night, beginning on Sunday, Aug. 30.

According to Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT), work will be performed on Sunday through Thursday nights at 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. on sections of I-65 in both directions between milepost 240.4 in Alabaster and 248.3 at the Shelby / Jefferson County line.

Traffic may be down to one travel lane during that time. Travel lanes will be reopened to traffic by 5 a.m. each morning as long as the project lasts…
